In fine condition, with some light toning, and a few light scratches towards the bottom of the image. This image is known as K-39 in the reference book, Custer in Photographs by D. Mark Katz. The view was taken on or about Aug. 8, 1864, by M.J. Powers, at Jessie H. Whitehurst's Gallery in Washington, D.C.
